Còlonia de Sant Jordi
A hamlet and town, a Roman port, a fisherman's refuge and a smuggler's paradise, the popular Colònia de Sant Jordi is, today, the quintessential Majorcan summer redoubt. It belongs to the municipality of Ses Salines, thus enjoying the benefits of proximity to the town of Ses Salines, Llombards and its cove, El Palmer, Ses Covetes and, of course, the beaches of Es Trenc, Es Caragol and Ses Roquetes, in addition to including Talayotic town of Els Antigors, one of the great acquaintances of the scientific literature in Mallorca, and the starting point for excursions to the marine reserve on the island of Cabrera. Nightlife is covered in neighboring Cala d’Or.
