Sa Cabaneta
Sa Cabaneta is one of the towns in the municipality of Marratxí and where the town hall is located. At 112 meters above sea level and 15 minutes from Palma, it is ideal to live in a quiet place, more in contact with nature and, at the same time, have close services such as schools, doctors, shops, restaurants, sports clubs, etc. Both in Sa Cabaneta and in the surrounding urbanizations, Majorcan-style houses, chalets with gardens and pools, and semi-detached houses predominate. Sa Cabaneta, like Pòrtol, a town that begins just where Sa Cabaneta ends, have developed pottery crafts for many years; Hence, the Museu de Fang (2002) was created in the Molí de Sa Cabaneta, to show the wealth of techniques, forms and functions that very different cultures have contributed to the island and that are translated into its 900 pieces.
