Polop
Polop is a municipality in the Valencian Community, located in the northeast of the province of Alicante, within the Marina Baja region. Its position between the mountainous interior and the coastal area explains much of its current territorial and residential value, offering a rare balance between nature, privacy, and proximity to the Mediterranean.
Historically, Polop formed part of a barony that extended from the Guadalest and Algar rivers to the municipality of Villajoyosa, including areas now as significant as Albir and Benidorm. Inland, it bordered towns such as Callosa d’en Sarrià and Guadalest. This layout established Polop as a natural link between the mountains and the coast.
This historical and geographical background has shaped its urban development. Unlike coastal towns, Polop has experienced more controlled growth, preserving its natural surroundings and local character. As a result, it has become an attractive residential choice for those seeking quality of life, tranquillity, and easy access to the main service and leisure hubs of the Costa Blanca.
Within today’s real estate market, Polop stands out as a solid option in the mid-high and premium residential segments, thanks to its landscape, proximity to the sea, and balanced urban development.
