Canyamel
Canyamel is a low-density residential and tourist enclave located on the easternmost side of Mallorca, within the municipality of Capdepera. Its limited development and distance from major tourist hubs explain its quiet atmosphere and its appeal as a stable residential location.
The name Canyamel dates back to the 18th century, when the area was associated with sugar cane cultivation, an agricultural legacy that still forms part of its historical identity. Its transition from a rural landscape to a selective residential area has taken place while preserving environmental balance and authenticity.
Surrounded by mountains and pine forests, the area enjoys a protected natural setting that enhances privacy. Canyamel Beach, awarded Blue Flag status, features both sandy and rocky sections, highlighting its environmental value. Proximity to towns such as Artà, Son Servera and the port of Cala Ratjada provides access to services and local life, while maintaining the tranquillity that defines Canyamel and supports its long-term real estate appeal.
